In some rare situations, you will need to manually configure the IP address of the iLO port in order to allow the Support Team to gain remote access to the server.
This article guides you through the process of changing the iLO IP address.
Step 1: Connect a keyboard and monitor to your server and power it on.
Step 2: At the Proliant boot screen press the F9 key to enter System Utilities.
Step 3: Once the System Utilities menu has loaded, hit the Enter key to choose System Configuration.
Step 4. On the following screen, press Enter to select the ILO 4 Configuration Utility.
Step 5. Press Enter again to select Network Options.
Step 6: Select the IP address field using the arrow keys and press Enter in order to enter an IP address for the iLO. Repeat for Subnet Mask and Gateway IP address.
Step 7. Once all the network information has been entered, press the F10 key to Save. A warning will appear saying that the iLO will reset. Press the Y key to save changes and exit.
If your server is going to reside behind a firewall, you will need to configure your firewall to allow the necessary traffic through.
You need to open the following ports to allow the required traffic to pass through your firewall to the iLO IP address.

The default username and password is printed on a sticker on the server.
Please note that the default network ports and username and password are automatically changed as part of the Commissioning process.
