How change an existing Custom virtual machine

The below functionality is only available in the latest version of our software. If your server hasn't been upgraded yet, please raise a support request asking us to make changes to your Virtual Machine for you.

If you would like to change the specification (Disk, RAM or CPU) of one of your existing Custom virtual machines, you can do this from the Commissioning Console.

Step 1: Select the Custom VM you want to configure

From within the Commissioning Console, find the server you want to make changes to, and then select the Custom VM you want to configure from the menu on the left.

Step 2: Change the configuration

You can change the Virtual CPU Cores, RAM and Disk Space by simply updating the values in the fields. As you update the values, the remaining amount of resource on the server is shown to the right.

Step 4: Save

Once you have finished updating the values, click on the Save button.

Step 5: Wait for the changes to apply

The changes will now be applied to the Custom VM. When they are complete, the Status will change to Completed

Step 6: Restart the Custom VM

Once the Status has changed to Completed, you now need to restart the Custom VM. You do this from within the operating system, or by clicking on the Restart button in the Commissioning Console:
